1989 Buick Reatta restoration

I've had my 1989 Buick Reatta since it was new.  When I recently bought a new Lexus, I couldn't bear to get rid of the old gal.  She's gone in for a complete restoration at a shop in the high desert.  It's never been wrecked and being a California car, it has zero rust.  I'll post more pictures as it progresses further.

Phase two:  the car is repainted.

New book about Beverly Hills' super groovy Trousdale Estates

 Those who love mid-century modern houses must check out this new book, all about Trousdale Estates, the ultra-lavish, ultra mod housing development at the top of Beverly Hills begun in the 1950s. Of course many were and are the homes of the rich and famous. The color photos are of Art Linkletter's house.  I retrieved these shots from the author's Facebook page.

Marilyn Monroe and a 1962 Chrysler 300H convertible

According to this website, the car was owned by MGM and driven by Marilyn.  The shots were taken by George Barris -- the photographer, not the famed auto customizer.
